How does your maintenance package work?

Use this article to understand what your maintenance package includes, how to read its status and how to schedule your maintenance service on time.

Maintenance packages are currently available to every customer. If you work with a maintenance budget, the steps in this article don't apply to you.

What is a maintenance package?

If you lease your bike with a maintenance package, you arrange your bike maintenance differently than with a maintenance budget. At the start of your lease contract, you choose:

  • 1x maintenance per year

  • 2x maintenance per year

  • Extra packages such as Clean & Protect, All Seasons and Anti-Flat (the latter only with a UBike bike)

You are required to bring in your bike at least once a year for maintenance, even if your package includes several services per year. Skip a year? Then that maintenance service expires permanently and you can no longer make it up.

Reading your packages

Use these steps to see which maintenance packages are included in your lease contract and what the status of each package is.

  1. Go to the Your lease bike page.

  2. Look at the Available maintenance services block. This shows the packages for your current lease year.

  3. Click Completed maintenance services to go to the Maintenance services page. Here you see all your lease years, split across the Active lease year and Past tabs.

This overview appears if your lease contract includes maintenance packages. Do you have a maintenance budget? Then you won't see this block.

Scheduling your maintenance service

Use these reminders to book your maintenance service on time. On the Your lease bike page, each maintenance service shows a time window within which it's best to have that service carried out. o2o calculates this window based on your lease start date: a service that recurs 2x per year gets two windows, a service that recurs 1x per year gets one window.

The table below shows which message you see, depending on your order method and the status of your window:

You only get a reminder for the recurring, general maintenance services. For one-off packages such as Clean & Protect or All Seasons/Anti-Flat, you schedule a moment yourself; no reminder appears for these.

The booking link to schedule your maintenance service is only a visual hint when you lease via our partner UBike. Do you lease via a regular bike dealer? Then you contact the shop yourself to schedule your maintenance.
