Find out here what’s included in your maintenance package, its status, and how to easily book a bicycle maintenance.
Do you have a maintenance budget? If so, feel free to close this article. We don’t offer maintenance packages to everyone, so these steps don’t apply to you.
What is a maintenance package?
With a maintenance package, you organise your bike maintenance slightly differently than with a maintenance budget. At the start of your lease contract, you choose between:
1 maintenance per year
2 maintenances per year
Extra packages such as Clean & Protect, All Seasons and Anti-Flat (the latter only available for UBike bikes)
You are required to bring your bike in for maintenance at least once a year, even if your package includes multiple maintenance services per year. If you skip a year, the maintenance session for that year is permanently lost and cannot be made up.
What is the status of your maintenance package?
Follow these steps to check which maintenance packages are included in your lease contract and what the status of each package is.
Go to the page Your lease bike in o2o Biker.
Check the Available maintenance services for the packages for your current lease year.
Click through to Completed maintenance services for a history of all your lease years, divided between the Current lease year and Past tabs.
Please note: this overview only appears if your lease contract includes maintenance packages. If you’re working with a maintenance budget, you won’t see this section.
How do you book a maintenance service?
Does this sound familiar? You swipe away a reminder thinking “I’ll do it later”, and suddenly your lease year has flown by. So be sure to check the page Your lease bike to see when your lease bike is due for a maintenance service at the bike repair shop. You’ll find the correct time frame for each service there straight away.
o2o calculates this time frame based on the start date of your lease: a maintenance service that’s due twice a year is shown with two time frames, whilst one due once a year is shown with a single time frame.
The table below shows which notification you’ll see, depending on your ordering method and the status of your time frame:
Status | Colour | Order via bike dealer |
Upcoming | Blue | "Book your maintenance service at your bike dealer in {month} or {month}" |
Time frame passed | Yellow | "Quickly book a maintenance service at your bike dealer" |
Completed | - | No more message |
You’ll only receive a notification for general, recurring maintenance services. For one-off packages such as Clean & Protect, All Seasons or Anti-Flat, you’ll need to book a slot yourself. You won’t receive a reminder for these.
How do you book a date?
With UBike, the booking link will guide you straight through the process.
If you’re using a regular bicycle dealer, simply give the shop a call or send them an email to book your maintenance.
