We strongly recommend this insurance for riders of speed pedelecs. Do you have your own family insurance? Then definitely check with your insurer to see if it also covers your speed pedelec. That way, you avoid double insurance, because it's totally unnecessary!
This civil liability insurance is often optional, but may also be required by your employer. Check your employer's Bicycle Policy to find out if mandatory civil liability insurance applies.
