When you request a quote for an o2o lease bicycle from your bicycle dealer, it is important to put all the necessary details on it. Below is a handy checklist to help you prepare a quote.

What has to be stated on the quote?

  1. Info about the bicycle

    • Make

    • Model

    • Colour

    • Frame size

    • List price incl. VAT (without discounts)

  2. Info about the lock

    • Brand, model and classification of the mandatory lock: the lock must have an ART2 approval or a security level 10 certificate or approval level Sold Secure Diamond. It is also important that you can anchor your bicycle with this lock.

    • Indicate the list price of the lock incl. VAT.

    • Also put the second lock on the quote if applicable (see question 'Can I use an additional lock to anchor my lease bicycle?").

  3. Optional accessories:

    • Indicate the list price of the accessories incl. VAT.

    • These accessories are not authorised:

      • Non-bicycle-related accessories: such as a mounting stand, headphones, sports nutrition, sports watch, bicycle rollers, ...

      • Second wheel set: this is not allowed by law and is seen as a hidden 'Benefit in kind'. Upgrades are allowed: for example, you can lease a different wheel set, such as a carbon wheel set, to replace the original wheel set.

      • Spare parts such as bicycle tyres or a repair kit. Anything related to the maintenance or repair of your bicycle can be purchased with the service budget once your bicycle is delivered.

    • These accessories are authorised:

      • Accessories that are necessary for your commute, such as GPS, bicycle alarm, pedals, lights, bell, bicycle bag, helmet, rainwear, Fluorescent vests, extra charger and extra battery.

      • This is just a selection of the options available. Do you have another accessory in mind that is not on this list? Feel free to add it to your quote.

  4. Specifications

    • Validity of the quote

    • Personal details of the cyclist

    • Name of the dealer

    • Address of the dealer
