What is the o2o service budget?
At o2o, we want to make sure you can ride your lease bicycle with peace of mind. That's why we created the o2o service budget. This annual fee helps you with the maintenance and any repairs of your bicycle, without having to worry about additional costs.
At o2o, you are required to keep your bicycle in good condition and give your trusty two-wheeler annual maintenance. And the good news? This mandatory service budget is also covered by the tax benefits of bicycle leasing.
When do you use the service budget?
The service budget is an annual amount that you spend at any bicycle dealer that is an o2o partner. You use it for:
The compulsory annual bicycle maintenance
This keeps your bicycle in top condition and avoids surprises along the way. So how much service budget is best to take for your lease bicycle? The best adviser for this is your bicycle dealer. Because the budget depends on the number of kilometres you cover on an annual basis, the bike type, the bicycle's drive system and the number of working hours the maintenance takes.
All maintenance and repairs
From replacing brake pads to adjusting your gears.
Reimbursing necessary spare parts
Think new tyres, chains or other essential parts.
(Any) costs associated with a replacement bicycle
In case your lease bicycle does go into repair for a longer period of time.
Tax benefit
What's great about this budget? It's included in the total rental price of your lease bicycle. That means that the tax benefits of bicycle leasing also apply to the o2o service budget. More tax-advantageous maintenance, less worry for you.
Choose your own budget
You decide on the value of the service budget, unless your employer sets the amount. Don't set your budget too low. It's better to have a little more tax-advantageous service budget than to have to pay extra out of pocket later on. Many bicycle dealers provide an All-in service these days, which includes all the maintenance costs for your bicycle. Sounds like music to your ears? Then be sure to envisage sufficient budget in your lease contract.
Service budget is negative
The bicycle dealer sees your budget for the entire lease period and can immediately use it to settle your invoice.
Example: do you have a budget of 150 euros per year and receive an initial invoice of 175 euros? Then the bicycle dealer will already charge 25 euros from year 2. You then used up more in the first year than you anticipated.
Have you used up the entire budget for the three years? Then the bicycle dealer will charge additional costs directly to you.
