A lease price is more than just the value of the lease bicycle. The bicycle always comes with additional services in the lease package, so you can hit the road with peace of mind.

The monthly cost depends on:

  • the price of the bicycle

  • the chosen accessories

  • the optional services you add.

Using an example simulation, you can clearly see the best way to interpret the amounts.

Would you like to do the calculation yourself? Then go now to myo2o Biker and simulate the cost for your ideal lease bicycle.

Step 1: Enter your bicycle, lock and accessories

Your quote from the bicycle dealer is the basis for making a correct simulation. This quote includes all the necessary elements, such as the recycling premium that a bicycle dealer charges for an e-bike or speed pedelec.

Step 2: Choose a service budget

A well-maintained bicycle is a reliable bicycle. Consult with your bicycle dealer about what is the best choice for you in terms of service budget. This depends on the type of bicycle, the parts on the bicycle, how much you will use the bicycle, etc.

Step 3: Choose additional services

Protection through Bicycle Care Damage and Theft is always included as standard with a lease. o2o takes care of everything. Want to add additional services? You can do that at this stage of the simulation.

What do all those numbers mean?

The impact on your salary

Your employer will receive an invoice of 273.19 euros in this case. This is not the amount you will end up paying for the bicycle. In this example, the impact on your gross salary, after accounting for your employer's NSSO contribution, is 174.23 euros.

As an estimate, you will pay 83.30 euros net for this bicycle.

This last figure with the estimate of your net contribution gives an idea of the cost of your chosen bicycle.

Tip: Once you have saved the simulation, you can then easily compare with another bicycle or other accessories/services with the same bicycle.

The comparison with a private purchase

To see the difference from your own purchase, use this handy overview.

Example: after three years, you will have paid 3481.34 euros renting this bicycle. When you take over the bicycle at the end of your lease, the total cost of the bicycle in this example comes to 4564.70 euros.

If you had bought this bicycle in the store, you would have paid 6928.30 euros at the till. And if you also wanted to have the same service as with your o2o lease bicycle, you would have had to add the maintenance budget and services such as theft, damage, breakdown assistance and extended warranty. So this makes the choice of bicycle leasing a lot more interesting.
